Boutique의 정의

지난 주말 양깡님과 만나 압구정에서 커피한잔을 했다. 이런 저런 이야기를 하다가 양깡님이 "새로 시작하시는 사업에 부티크(Boutique)라는 명칭을 붙이신 것 같던데 그게 무슨 뜻이죠?"라고 물었다.

"백화점하고 그냥 전문샵하고의 차이"라고 간단하게 말씀드렸지만...부티크에 대한 이해 부분에서는 아주 개운하지는 않아 보인다.

양깡님의 이해를 100% 돕자면...독립 전문 병원이라는 비유가 정확하지 않나 한다. 종합병원과 대비해서. 만약 의료사업 쪽과 다른게 있다면 PR업계 그 '종합병원'들은 전문 과목들이 모여있는 실제 종합병원과는 달리 일반의들이 모여 대부분 공통적으로 감기환자들만 본다는 게 조금 다르겠다.
